MAS Animator - Temp to Hire

Department: MAS Event + Design LLC
Location: Brooklyn, NY

MAS is an event and experiential marketing agency working with some of the world’s most influential brands to design, create, and manage their most important events (both IRL and virtual) and experiential programs. We partner with our clients to build fully integrated, highly effective teams that create remarkable experiences and activations around the world.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Animator will be an integral part of our Creative Team. The Animator will understand and bring together a brand’s aesthetic and identity along with assets from our graphics team to concept and execute exciting ideas for each event that match the overarching creative. The Animator will bring innovative ideas and creative solutions to the table and can think out of the box. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, takes verbal and written directions well, and works incredibly successfully in a collaborative environment. The best candidate can work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines, stays calm under pressure, and understands the quick turnaround times, with their workflow reflecting this process.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Creative Directors, Art Directors, and Graphic Designers to concept initial ideas and storyboards.
  • Iterate and concept until the overall concept meets clients expectations.
  • Help manage workflow and communications with any outside animators that we may pull in.
  • Work with editors to ensure the best workflow if passing off assets to them or integrating deeply into their edit.
  • Manage deliverables for multiple events at any given time.

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Exceptional animating skills and proficiency in software such as Adobe CC, After Effects, and Premiere.
  • Strong portfolio full of technical, unique, innovative, and  diverse work.
  • Love of telling stories through animation.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a wide range of clients.
  • Understanding of brand identity and how to weave it into creative work appropriately.
  • Time management as well as willingness to put in the time to meet client and internal deadlines.
  • Ability to work within G Suite.
  • Illustration skills are a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work well on a team.
  • Display a positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external teams.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues with projects and tasks outside of job requirements.
