Digital Content Associate Producer

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

This role will be responsible assisting the Digital Content Manager with project management of content/asset integration into an event platform.  This role will be responsible for the day-to-day needs of the event and will be working closely with the Technical Project Manager, Executive Producer, and Client Content Lead.  This role will also shadow the Digital Content Manager for cross training.

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 2 – 3 years of experience managing media and video projects

  • Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, AirTable, Quip, WorkDocs program experience

  • Ability to work independently, in a team, and as a report to a project lead

  • Successfully perform in a high stress, fast-paced environment

  • Accept changes with short notice and tolerate frequent interruptions

  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality

  • Thrive on collaboration with team members

  • Work independently and interdependently

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update and maintain production timelines, workback flows and schedules in spreadsheet database

  • Assist with the configuration of the Asset Tracking Tool to meet the needs of the program.

  • Liaise and consult internally with greater Opus teams on production status and timelines

  • Work with client directly, in some cases

  • Executive Producer and Media Producer support

  • Manage workflow and process, documenting methodologies and best practices and taking back to the team, develop agendas and issue meeting notes for active projects

  • Assist with scoping of a project based on (not limited to) the following criteria:

  • Post-Production timelines as it relates to platform integration

  • Attendee experience within platform and impact on the event schedule 

  • Platform and CDN choices

  • Amount of production content needing to be uploaded 

  • Assist with scoping or adjustments to the project based on (not limited to) the following criteria:

    • Overall video shoot criterion & file management

    • Post-Production timelines as it relates to platform integration

    • Attendee experience within platform & impacts on the event schedule 

    • Platform and CDN choices

    • Amount of production content needing to be uploaded 

  • Assessing event platform and/or CDN criterion and the specific design requirements that are needed to enhance the content. 

  • Working closely with other workstream leads to ensure final QC on platform

    • Meta data (titles/speakers) 

    • Thumbnails

    • Graphical Assets

    • Captions

    • Localizations

    • Session Titles - Copy Editing

    • Digital PM/EP for simulive and live stream timing

    • Work with Digital PM for overall event timing

  • Executing the upload of all content scoped for the event to the main platform, overflow platform (if applicable), and test site (if applicable)

  • Executing the post-event process with storage/transfer of final show files/assets

  • Manage post event debriefs, archiving and back ups

 

COMPETENCIES

  • Willingness to learn and maintain current knowledge of the digital event landscape

  • Basic understanding of event structure; registration, creative, production, technical production, and how they integrate with each other in the digital landscape

  • Project management skillset: ability to do the work, but lead others for larger teams

  • Advanced developer of PM tools - Google Sheets, AirTable, Quip

  • Knowledge of hosted video format types and behavior

  • General understanding of video playback capabilities within a browser

    • Knowledge of the major CDN players is also helpful

  • Ability to focus on the end-user experience to engineer the best possible outcome
