WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The role of Producer is to own an overall event, or portion of an event, and be responsible for its execution and success.  The Producer is responsible for ensuring that the Opus production experience and production-related work delivers against agreed objectives and surpasses the client’s expectations. 

Within Opus, this role will require futuristic thinking, support additional growth initiatives and sit on planning committees.

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 5-7+ years of Producer experience in a client-facing role

  • Proven experience managing budgets, sub vendors, and production-specific elements

  • Ability to travel as needed to ensure customer success and program oversight

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate in a team environment 

  • Ability to directly manage clients and client relationships

  • Attention to detail in regard to production schedules, partner collaboration, and overall planning

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a large team of vendors and event staff

  • Ability to read, interpret and fulfill client agreements

  • Ability to work well under pressure within a team environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Excellent business and report-writing skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish a relationship of trust and partnership with the client 

  • Ramp up quickly on the deliverables for each show 

  • Manage overall financial performance and maintain tight budget executional control

  • Review forecast to actuals and assist in financial reporting and oversight as needed

  • Manage the work and execution of partners / sub-vendors, and deliver constant innovation and guidance to the client

  • Facilitate improved growth/training of the Production team to provide strategic, creative, and technical consultation and communication to the client

  • Deepen relationships while maintaining consistent and predictable performance

  • Define and refine processes for key partner performance and staffing assignments

  • Elevate Production services as a strategic offering to the client by continually improving client-facing relationships to ensure long term engagements, new client acquisition, and client retention

  • Analyze and fulfill the equipment and labor requirements

  • Lead ongoing vendor price negotiations and relationships to enhance gross margin contributions 

  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner

  • Travel when required
