Strategy Director

Department: Growth - Solutions
Location: Remote

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct: Act as a credible expert strategic leader, providing well-researched and results-driven direction
  • Deliver: Own assigned strategy deliverables (e.g., presentations, research reports, creative briefs, point of view documents, measurement reports, etc.) independently
  • Workshop: Plan, prepare and facilitate client workshops that identify and inform key program frameworks, approaches, and other program-required strategic elements
  • Assure: Design and develop meaningful KPIs by which success will be measured
  • Collaborate: Partner with and lead cross-functional account, creative, experience, and delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction, successful implementation of agency services, and bold and innovative solutions
  • Influence: Deploy your clear, sophisticated understanding of client organizations to grow relationships and sell-in extraordinary work
  • Grow: Partner with cross-functional teams to drive growth in new and existing accounts, and proactively define areas where strategy can differentiate via RFP responses, new business pitches, client event audits, trend and thought starter working sessions, and wrap-ups
  • Attract: Provide sought-after expertise in some of the following areas: brand experiences (BX), digital experiences (DX), customer experience (CX), employee experiences (CX), plus hands-on chops working across demand generation, content-driven campaigns, data integration, and measurement
  • Develop: Proactively explore strategies, partnerships, technologies, and approaches that will inform, inspire, and catalyze innovation and creative solution development – for our clients and our agency

 

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 10+ years in a strategic role providing services within an marketing-centric agency or relevant consulting firm. Event and experiential marketing experience is a big plus.
  • Strong verbal presentation/storytelling skills, superior writing skills, and excellent interpersonal relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrated talent for abstract thinking, spotting trends and patterns, an innate curiosity and insight into human behavior, an instinct for popular culture, and a nuanced understanding of creative work are critical.
  • Experience with scoping projects, estimating investment levels, and detailing budgets
  • Hands-on experience with key forms of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and working knowledge of when and how to apply them to a given client challenge.
  • Deep experience with some or all of the following is preferred: marketing analytics, marketing technologies, digital marketing systems, and research tools
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
