MAS Digital Designer

Department: MAS Event + Design LLC
Location: Brooklyn, NY


MAS is an event and experiential marketing agency working with some of the world’s most influential brands to design, create, and manage their most important events (both IRL and virtual) and experiential programs. We partner with our clients to build fully integrated, highly effective teams that create remarkable experiences and activations around the world.


The Digital Designer will be an integral part of our Creative and Technical Team and is responsible for conceiving and executing screen based design deliverables. The Digital Designer will understand and maintain the creative intent of a project as well as determine any platform specifications or technical requirements the deliverables must conform to. Deliverables include the conception and design of the UI for virtual experiences and microsites (that are built using either a virtual event platform or custom web development), animated UI elements and micro-interactions, as well as various supporting assets in the digital space (web banners, social media posts, animated GIFs, etc...) We are looking for someone who will bring innovative ideas and creative solutions to the table and can think out of the box. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, takes verbal and written directions well, and works successfully in a collaborative environment. The best candidate can work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines, stays calm under pressure, and understands the quick turnaround times, with their workflow reflecting this process.


  • Concept and design of user interfaces for virtual experiences

  • Concept and design any virtual platform based supporting graphic elements

  • Concept and design various digital assets, web banners, social media assets

  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with creative and development teams.

  • Collaborate with the development team to align on the implementation of functionality.

  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.

  • Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders.

  • Translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

  • Design style standards for fonts, colors and images.

  • Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions.

  • Deliver production-ready assets to developers.


  • Have experience designing complex solutions for complete digital environments.

  • Have experience designing and re-sizing assets for a variety of digital spaces.

  • Have an awareness of current trends and feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process. 

  • Have strong typographic skills.

  • Understand and be able to follow style and branding guides.

  • Understanding of motion design as an element of the UI design process. Experience with After Effects a plus

  • Expertise with Adobe Illustrator, UI design tools such as Figma or Sketch, and wireframe tools such as Balsamiq

  • Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus

  • Experience with no-code/low-code front end tools like Webflow is a plus

  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and an understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.

  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.

  • Understanding of business metrics.

  • Be able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adjust to frequently changing parameters. 

  • Have strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

  • Have the willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with teams working remotely.

  • Ability to work within G Suite.

  • Display a positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external teams.
