Brand Journalist

In the role, you live and breathe communications. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will write copy for a variety of projects across all mediums to market our agency externally to prospective and current clients, and internally to employees.  

You have the chops to create content plans, set priorities, and then write and deliver. Your experience working across teams and balancing multiple simultaneous high-profile projects helps you thrive within a fast-paced agency environment.  

You will promote a positive public image and control the dissemination of information on our company’s behalf. You will write content that is consistent with our brand style and tone. 

We are looking for talent with phenomenal communication and copywriting skills. Experience in corporate communications and project management in a marketing environment are important qualities too. Your enthusiasm, ownership of your work, and positive attitude will help you gain the trust of colleagues and external parties alike. 



  • Minimum of 3 years of copywriting experience at a professional services firm and/or journalism-oriented firm 

  • Writing samples/portfolio showing an expansive body of work, including blog posts, web copy, white papers, social posts, case studies, ads, and more 

  • Proven experience delivering as a self-motivated, hands-on contributor in a fast-moving environment, working on high-profile communications   

  • The successful candidate must be organized and have excellent command of language with strong writing and interpersonal skills 



  • 80% of your time will be spent writing external marketing messages 

  • Analyze, propose, and deliver an overhauled editorial/content marketing approach 

  • Produce quarterly large-scale thought pieces, like white papers, eBooks, webinars, presentations, etc.  

  • Write marketing materials like press releases, case studies, client stories, blog stories, social posts, emails, ads, website copy, video scripts, etc. 

  • Own, edit, and publish our monthly external newsletter 

  • Support one-off content requests from business development for RFIs, RFPs, and related pitches 

  • Drive and support content needs on key industry and peer award submission 

  • 20% of your time will be spent producing internal communications for employees in collaboration with our Human Resources team 

  • Partner with HR on employee communications, including writing, editing, and publishing a monthly internal newsletter 

  • Own, nurture, and actively update our Intranet’s home page and core messages 



  • Exceptional writing skills  

  • Ability to develop and maintain a writing style and tone consistent with the brand 

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and focus, while working under fast-paced, deadline-driven and often demanding situations 

  • Ability to drive a sense of urgency while working collaboratively across the organization 

  • Professional, confident, positive, and calm demeanor 

  • Detail-oriented, flexible, and able to handle complex issues and tasks with minimal supervision is essential 

  • Ability to think independently, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of problems
